Projects for Stichting United Painting 2019 - 2022
Since the summer of 2019, I’ve worked with the United Painting Foundation on their large-scale art projects as an artist and designer; mainly on the task to create a pattern library which later transformed into a pattern toolkit that we use during a participatory creation process. In 2021/22 I joined the daily operations of the Stichting, helping to build organisational structure, a framework for developing a methodology and developing (and executing) the first R&D program.
”United Painting builds bridges between community art, urban planning and social design, creating multi faceted social impact with a lasting legacy. Over the years, United Painting has become a creative laboratory implementing art to unite, empower and contribute to an inclusive world.”
Draft of a Concept to develop a United Painting methodology (‘Sustainable Empowerment Toolkit’ informed by the participant’s needs) through research programs. Democratic Design Tool was the first development for the Toolkit.
